The University of Sancti Spíritus will hold its XII Agricultural Conference
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the José Martí University of Sancti Spíritus is hosting the 12th Agricultural Conference, “For Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Development,” from Monday, May 18th to May 22nd. The conference will be held in a hybrid format.
This event will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices related to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, as published on the Faculty’s website.
To date, a total of 135 papers have been received from 15 Cuban universities and universities from other countries, as well as from research institutes, science laboratories, and other relevant institutions in Cuba.
The Agricultural Conference will take place in Building One of the university, where a full agenda will be fulfilled. This includes the presentation and donation of veterinary medicine books, the 4th Meeting on “Food Sovereignty” and “Science, Innovation, and Youth,” workshops, postgraduate programs, and an Opportunities Fair where various cooperation agreements will be signed.
The Vice Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Sancti Spíritus University, Dr. Kolima Peña Calzada, stated that four new books related to agricultural and animal production, sustainable forest management, and the transformation of training and gender processes linked to agricultural activity will be published based on the papers presented.
