Sancti Spíritus adds four new ambulances to the emergency medical system

Four new ambulances will begin operating in Sancti Spíritus in the coming hours, after the completion of the required technical and legal procedures for their deployment. This will strengthen patient care in urgent and emergency medical situations throughout the province.

Dr. Eduardo Contreras Lara, director of Provincial Base No. 10 of the Integrated Medical Emergency System (SIUM), explained that these units are part of a batch of 75 ambulances recently imported by the country to bolster the Cuban healthcare system.

“The four ambulances assigned to this province were already in service this week; they were transported here on Monday and are currently undergoing the necessary procedures, such as registration and all the required documentation, so they can begin providing service in the next few hours,” he stated.
