Private initiatives and local development projects aim to boost renewable energy through international cooperation

A dozen private initiatives and local development projects in Sancti Spíritus are seeking access to international cooperation resources to boost the use of renewable energy sources. This effort is part of a program promoting a more sustainable local economy, according to Daysel García Bello, the Provincial Government’s Director of Territorial Development.

The official noted that these proposals fall under an international cooperation project involving the United Nations Development Programme, French cooperation agencies, and Cuban entities. She highlighted that these are already established businesses with a track record of success and financial stability, ensuring they can deliver short-term results and meet all necessary requirements.
