Campaign against social indiscipline and for price control begins in Sancti Spíritus

Sancti Spíritus is conducting a comprehensive initiative to address social misconduct, focusing on price controls, the fight against economic illegalities, and compliance with online payment requirements specifically via QR codes at both state run and private businesses.

Participants in this effort include the Prosecutor’s Office, the courts, the Ministry of the Interior, the Tax Revenue Directorate, the Ministry of Labor, the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, and the banking system.

According to the organizers, this measure is not a temporary campaign but rather part of ongoing efforts to improve the situation regarding prices, illegal activities, and social misconduct.

Despite some progress, issues persist regarding the acceptance of online payments, which limits the public’s access to food and hygiene products.

The plan also addresses drug use and trafficking, with a focus on prevention among young people. Although Sancti Spíritus has one of the country’s lowest rates of drug-related offenses, authorities maintain constant oversight.

Organizers state that this comprehensive initiative in Sancti Spíritus is part of a sustained strategy to tackle the economic distortions and social misconduct affecting the population.
