Farmer from Sancti Spíritus awarded the Honorary Title Labor Hero (+ photos)

Félix Álvarez, a farmer from Cabaiguán and an icon of the agricultural sector in Sancti Spíritus, was awarded the Honorary Title Labor Hero of  Cuba. The award was presented by President Miguel Díaz-Canel during the state decorations ceremony of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP), which will celebrate its 65th anniversary and Farmer’s Day on May 17th.

The event provided an opportunity to recognize the men and women of the farmers’ organization who, throughout their years of service, have contributed to the country’s socio-economic development through agricultural production and the defense of the nation.
