“Faces from the Interior”: An excellent visual arts offering for the summer in Trinidad

The Benito Ortiz Universal Art Gallery in the city of Trinidad opened its doors to young visual artist Ramón Enrique “Kiki” Borrell and his exhibition “Faces from the Interior”

The exhibition comprises works created primarily on paper and cardstock, featuring clear references to traditional cultures and the relationships between humanity, history, myth, and nature.

“This is the first time I’ve presented a portrait—it feels like a bold move—but these are portraits of the people around me.”

Joining him in this exhibition—an excellent summer offering—were young artists Darlys Izarra Berrizonte and Marielly González Sayo. “It is an invitation to consider just how ambivalent we are forced to be, and how ambivalent we are by nature.”
