Art invites you to the City Hall

As the hours tick down to the 512th anniversary of the founding of Villa del Espíritu Santo, art continues its tribute to the city, now with the awards ceremony of the 28th City Salon, an event where visual artists unveil their work as a gift to the city’s birthday.

Rafael González Morales received the top prize for his piece “Cachita,” a glimpse into Cuban religiosity that is deeply ingrained in Villa del Espíritu Santo and its inhabitants.

Rafael’s performance is displayed on the front wall of the Church of Jesus of Nazareth, in a conspiratorial atmosphere that seems to emanate from the breezes of the temple’s ancient architecture, and as an artist who, from this time, embraces that spark of Cuban identity.
