Sancti Spíritus paid tribute to the Cuban combatants who fell in Venezuela

Pain, eternal gratitude, dismay, and commitment coalesced into a clenched fist to pay homage to the 32 valiant Cuban combatants who fell in heroic actions defending Venezuela’s sovereignty.

“First and foremost, it is a source of pride, and it is also a commitment. It strengthens my commitment to this homeland every day, and every day that passes, as I witness the actions of these comrades.”

“It has already been proven that they fought to the last drop of blood. One feels immense gratitude for these combatants who, applying Martí’s maxim that homeland is humanity, defended not only Cuba, but also Venezuela and Latin America. They had courage, bravery—what our Commander, Fidel Castro, taught us: to be in solidarity, to share everything we have for our revolution, and to keep moving forward and never stop.”
