Sancti Spíritus pays tribute to the 32 fallen combatants in Venezuela (+photos)

The province of Sancti Spíritus was the site this Friday of a solemn ceremony honoring the fallen soldiers who defended Venezuela’s sovereignty, in a commemoration that was replicated simultaneously in all the island’s provinces.

The national tribute recognizes the sacrifice of the soldiers who lost their lives confronting an operation by U.S. forces, whose objective was the kidnapping of Venezuela’s constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro.
