Cuba honors the Homeland Heroes

Shortly after 9:00 a.m., the remains of the 32 Cubans who died in the line of duty in Venezuela arrived at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality.

The entrance of the FAR ceremonial battalion, carrying the coffins, marked one of the most solemn moments of the day.

Inside the compound, the military ceremony is underway. The first to pay tribute are their comrades-in-arms, standing at attention in silence.

The coffins remain on display, each one accompanied by a photograph of the fallen soldier returning home, a gesture that brings names and faces back to the farewell.

Outside the Ministry, the atmosphere is one of solemnity. Tears stream down the faces of many who wait to bid their final goodbyes. Representatives from the Ministry of the Interior, the Revolutionary Armed Forces, the Association of Combatants of Cuba, and various political and mass organizations are present. Men and women of unwavering trust, united in the same gesture of respect.

The doors are also open to the entire population, who can visit the Minfar headquarters until six in the evening and pay tribute to their heroes.
