Sancti Spíritus receives the tribute of its children

The city of Sancti Spíritus celebrated its 511th anniversary during a solemn session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, chaired by Bárbara Mínguez Amézaga, president of that governing body.

As part of the commemoration, which paid special tribute to healthcare and education professionals throughout the city’s history, recognitions were given to centers and personalities from the area.

The Illustrious Son of the City distinction was awarded to Agustín Plasencia Calero, Master of Science in Education and Chemistry Competition Coach at the Eusebio Olivera Rodríguez, Pre-university Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE).
