Sugarcane harvest 2023-2024 concluded in Sancti Spíritus

On Wednesday, July 3, the Melanio Hernández sugar mill stopped its machinery to end the 2023-2024 harvest in the province, with the production of 76% of its sugar program for this campaign.

The director of the Tuinucú sugar mill, engineer Redamé Rodríguez Palmero, explained to the local radio station that the workers will spend the next two days carrying out the process of liquidation of sugar materials, to immediately start the dismantling, cleaning and conservation of the equipment and proceed with the diagnosis of the needs for the period of repairs, which given the delay must be expedited so as not to compromise the start of the milling in December.
