Yaguajay is ready to commemorate the anniversary of the Las Villas Northern Front
To mark the 68th anniversary of the *Frente Norte de las Villas* (North Front of Las Villas) this October 7th, various institutions and agencies in Yaguajay are carrying out preparatory work at the Comandante Camilo Cienfuegos Historical Complex. Their efforts aim to ensure the site looks magnificent for the tribute honoring the guerrillas who brought peace to this corner of Cuba.
Through beautification tasks across the entire site, the local community is also paying an early tribute to the armed forces that joined Camilo on that day—October 7, 1958.
At the very site where Camilo Cienfuegos and his troops fought, the people of Yaguajay are dedicating their efforts to the commemoration—an event that always includes students from the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School in Sancti Spíritus, veterans of the Revolution, and representatives of the local population.
In the lead-up to the tribute marking the North Front of Las Villas’ 68th anniversary, the entire historical and cultural complex has benefited from the hard work of Yaguajay residents. They are preparing to gather there early to pay a heartfelt tribute to those who gave everything for the guerrilla struggle and who now rest in the mausoleum erected in their memory.
