Urban, suburban and family agriculture contribute to the performance of the people of Sancti Spiritus

Urban, suburban, and family agriculture were included among the sectors recognized for their contributions, earning the province the status of distinguished citizen in the National Emulation for July 26th.

“To date, we have managed to fulfill the vegetable production plan in the different modalities: organic, vegetable, semi-protected, plots, and rustic homes. To date, we had a plan for 45,000 tons of vegetables and a plan for 45,468 tons, resulting in a total of 45,479 tons of vegetables.

For urban agriculture, the balance of the two campaigns has been positive.

We completed the cold season with excellent results in terms of the presence of fresh leafy vegetables in all our units.

Then we presented the spring-summer campaign, which is a bit more difficult, but well, it has been demonstrated, regardless of the results obtained.
