Trinidad de Cuba grows as the Cultural Pavilion of America

The residents of Trinidad and the Valley of the Mills (Cuba), both World Cultural Heritage Sites, grow in their successes in maintaining the pavilion of one of the best preserved towns in America.

They reach the 511th anniversary of their foundation by Adelantado Diego Velásquez and the blessing of the priest Bartolomé de las Casas, with the determination to venerate the urban heritage and the titles of Artisanal City of the World and Creative City.

The festivities according to heritage documentation begin on the second Sunday of January – between the 12th and 18th -, the date on which the 52nd edition of Culture Week is presented, with a broad program of activities from the traditional heritage.

According to the organizers, there will be musical events with local artists and guests, dance events, tributes to prominent intellectuals and gallery openings with techniques that transcend customs and mystical celebrations.

They include activities in museums and social activity centers, reverence for African ancestors and their gods, especially in the Cabildo de Los Congos Reales, and also includes the delivery of the Unique Prize for the Arts to a personality in the Solemn Assembly of Popular Power. .
