The Masinicú house

The big house, located on one of the banks of the Guaurabo River, at an intermediate point between Trinidad and La Boca beach, with its reddish tiles and white walls, treasures history.
And that is the history that brings us closer to Alberto Delgado, the man from Masinicú, the state security agent who returns to the Trinidadian premises in October 1963.
From that date on, he contacted collaborators and leaders of terrorist cells stationed in the area and organized the memorable Operation Trasbordo, which resulted in the capture of the dangerous gangs of Maro Borges and Julio Emilio Carretero, the latter being the top leader of the self-styled National Liberation Army.
Alberto stayed at the Masinicú farm until the night of April 28, 1964, when rebels under the orders of Cheíto León kidnapped and murdered him very close to the house, just 50 meters from the Circuito Sur.
The house museum, an extension of the Museum of the Fight Against Bandits, houses Alberto’s personal objects and others related to his revolutionary activity as an agent of the State Security.
