The municipality of Taguasco was decked out in festive attire this Friday morning to host the main provincial ceremony marking the 73rd anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks—a celebration characterized by revolutionary reaffirmation and the special inspiration drawn from the upcoming centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz’s birth.
The historic town’s main square hosted a large gathering of Taguasco residents alongside the province’s top officials. Presiding over the event were Deivy Pérez Martín, member of the Central Committee and First Secretary of the Party in Sancti Spíritus, and Provincial Governor Alexis Lorente Jiménez, joined by other leaders from the Party, the government, the UJC, the FAR, the MININT, and mass organizations.
