Summer bids farewell

Cultural and recreational activities will mark the end of the summer season across all of Yaguajay’s *consejos populares* (local administrative districts), as confirmed by Pavel Socarraja Hernández, Deputy Intendant of the Administrative Council and head of the Recreation Commission.

The official noted that the program involves INDER (National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation), the Culture and Education sectors, and the private sector, which is contributing dining options for the communities.

In Iguará, Mayajigua, and Yaguajay, *changüí* celebrations will be held featuring the *parranda* groups—traditional neighborhood festival troupes—representative of those localities.

Establishments from the Palmares and Isla Azul chains—with a presence in Yaguajay and Mayajigua, respectively—are also joining these end-of-summer festivities, according to the Recreation Commission’s program.
