Sancti Spíritus Reservoirs close Dry Period at 35% of Capacity

The dry period on April 30 ended wet in Sancti Spíritus with the rains of the last few hours that had a very slight impact on the reservoirs that accumulate 426.9 million cubic meters of water, 35% of their capacity.

The rainfall also wet the Zaza dam, which sealed the dry period with 232.9 million cubic meters, 25% of its storage possibilities.

With a slightly more favorable situation, the reservoirs that contribute to the water supply to the population were closed since Lebrige is at 76%, Tuinucú at 75% and Siguaney at 55%.

The storage levels of the Sancti Spiritus dams in the dry period from November to April correspond to the low volumes of precipitation during almost the entire year of 2022 and the first months of 2023.
