Sancti Spíritus prepares to face disaster situations

With the training of management and command bodies at all levels in the review of approved governing documentation, updating, clarification, and ensuring approved disaster risk reduction decisions and plans, the Meteorological Disaster Actions Exercise 2025 concludes this Sunday in Sancti Spíritus.

As in the rest of the country, this preparation takes place prior to the start of hurricane season on June 1st, and involves all institutions and the population, in the interest of strengthening the training of personnel responsible for responding to these events, as well as Cuban families.

This Sunday, work is planned to train different categories of personnel in the actions to be carried out in these cases, and practical activities will be carried out aimed at reducing vulnerabilities throughout the province, understanding the risk level of each location, and the planned actions.

According to the planned program, various demonstration and training exercises for the forces and resources tasked with protecting human lives and the material resources of the entities and the population are planned in the eight municipalities of Sancti Spiritus on this final day of Meteoro 2025.
