Sancti Spíritus Ophthalmological Center operates on eye tumors despite shortages
The Sancti Spíritus Ophthalmological Center is currently maintaining a stable schedule of surgeries for eye tumors, a highly specialized procedure that benefits more than a dozen patients in the province each month. These patients suffer from a condition whose incidence has been steadily increasing in recent years.
Yiliani Yera Martín, director of the center, explained that the medical staff remains committed to ensuring these operations, despite difficulties with resources and supplies, through the reorganization of services and the optimal use of available technology.
