Sancti Spíritus Biotechnology obtains Reagents for Cuban Crime Labs

The Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Sancti Spiritus (CIGBSS), in close collaboration with the Central Laboratory of Criminalistics, is currently working on the creation of several reagents to identify the animal species to which a certain blood stain found at the scene of a crime belongs.

According to Enrique Rosendo Pérez Cruz, director of the CIGB of the province, it is a matter of gaining technological sovereignty and responding to the needs of the different laboratories of this specialty of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint) in the country.
