Humberto Cané was the son of the founder of the now legendary Sonora Matancera, Valentín Cané. Humberto was a tresero of the Sonora, but a disagreement with his father Valentín prompted Humberto to leave. Not only from the Sonora, but also from Cuba, and settled in Mexico.
