Río Zaza Dairy Products is working on partnerships with the private sector

The Río Zaza Dairy Products Company in Sancti Spíritus is working to forge alliances with the private sector as part of its strategy to revitalize production and utilize idle capacity.

Alberto Cañizares Rodríguez, the company’s general director, explained that following the completion of its energy transition, the firm plans to partner with an MSME in the municipality of Jatibonico; the partner will supply raw materials for the factories, while the company provides the machinery and personnel.

The goal is to bring the entire operation up to full capacity. The strategy also includes a second partnership with another MSME at the transport base’s central workshop, focusing on the washing, greasing, and tire repair facilities.

Contracts are currently being finalized to launch these operations immediately. Additionally, the company is working on transport rental agreements with both MSMEs and state entities to put currently idle tanker trucks, cargo vans, and cisterns back into service.

Through these measures, Río Zaza aims to integrate with private-sector players, ensure the revival of the local dairy industry, and secure wages for workers who are currently idled.
