Radio Sancti Spíritus and Escambray Newspaper awarded in the 5th National Press Festival

The provincial radio station Radio Sancti Spiritus and the newspaper Escambray won this Thursday two of the five awards for journalistic innovation Juan Antonio Borrego, at the 5th National Virtual Press Festival Julio García Luis.

Radio Sancti Spíritus, the first radio station in the Cuban radio system to win such high recognition, was awarded the prize for its project “Artificial Intelligence in the editorial convergence of Radio Sancti Spíritus”. The Escambray newspaper won the award with the project “Es mi barrio”.

This is the fourth prize of the Escambray newspaper in the five editions of the National Virtual Press Festival and in this fifth opportunity it obtained a mention in the awards granted by the Faculty of Social Communication of the University of Havana.
