Promotions and awards marked the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior in Sancti Spíritus

A dozen officers, including Major Jorge Luis Cuéllar Ortega, who was part of the Cuban forces present during the events of January 3, 2016, in Venezuela, received the Distinction for Distinguished Service this Thursday in Sancti Spíritus during the provincial ceremony commemorating the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of the Interior.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity to recognize the dedication and merits of MININT (Ministry of the Interior) personnel by promoting a group of officers to the next higher rank and awarding decorations for years of service in recognition of their accomplishments in various missions.
