Nearly 800 new professionals for the socio-economic development of Sancti Spíritus

The José Martí Pérez University of Sancti Spíritus (UNISS) experienced an emotional day this Thursday with the graduation ceremony for students from the provincial capital. This event marked the end of the 2025-2026 academic year for the university.

This year, nearly 800 professionals graduated from the university in Sancti Spíritus and other higher education institutions across the country, according to Dr. Edelby Bravo Amarante, Rector of UNISS.

“Despite these difficult circumstances, the university does not stop and in this graduation day that began last Tuesday, June 30, with graduations in the rest of the municipalities of the territory, 791 new professionals are incorporated into the economic and social development of the territory, 93 in agricultural sciences, 29 in technical sciences, 132 in economic sciences, 93 in social and humanistic sciences, 337 in pedagogical sciences and 107 in Sports and Physical Culture Sciences.
