Nearly 40,000 workers in the state funded sector in Sancti Spíritus have received the salary increase
As part of the new economic transformations implemented in the country, a significant number of workers in the state-funded sector of Sancti Spíritus province have benefited from the implementation of the wage reform.
Mirelki González Pérez, head of the Labor Organization and Wages Department at the Sancti Spíritus Provincial Directorate, explained that, overall, the process—despite the short timeframe—resulted in the new wages being paid for the month of July. There were few questions regarding its implementation. Out of a total workforce of 42,526, 39,216 workers benefited.
The discrepancy is due to education personnel, a portion of whom were on vacation during July.
The wage increase, part of the 176 transformations, represents a partial yet significant adjustment for the state-funded sector, offering new guarantees for job protection amidst a global crisis and the intensification of the blockade.
