National Rebellion Day: Ciego de Ávila celebrates its 26th

At exactly 5:15 a.m., the leader of the Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, entered the Revolution Square Máximo Gómez Báez, in Ciego de Ávila, to lead the national event commemorating the 72nd anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
The celebration of the National Rebellion Day, attended by more than 10,000 residents of Ciego de Ávila representing all municipalities, included members of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCC, leaders of mass organizations, members of the Councils of State and Ministers, provincial authorities, protagonists of the actions of July 26, 1953, and relatives of the martyrs
