Ministry of the Interior, National Coat of Arms

Almost under the crossfire of Playa Giron, the Ministry of the Interior was born. It was born as a shield, in the face of so many sinister and treacherous blows from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), from the Batista people, who refused to believe that their dictatorship was dust in the wind. The Ministry of the Interior was born, by law, on June 6, 1961, in the face of the explicit interest of the United States Government in the collapse of the Cuban Revolution.
It was also born as a shield against the mercenaries who, inside and outside this archipelago, breathe and walk to the rhythm of the greenbacks, taken out of the White House bag.
Many faces carry the Ministry of the Interior. There are those who, from silence, have disarticulated and continue to water down the plans of sabotage and assassination of our main leaders. There is no greater proof of the effectiveness of the organs of State Security than having dismantled more than 600 assassination attempts on Fidel.
