Memories Trinidad del Mar Hotel opts for Environmental Beach Recognition

The Memories Trinidad del Mar hotel located in the Ancon Peninsula opts for the Environmental Beach Recognition in line with the international ECOVALOR Project of the United Nations, which seeks to promote tourism in Sun and Beach destinations

For several years the Cubanacán Group facility has been working for a correct environmental management of the environment where it is located, which is being reinforced at an accelerated pace in its beachfront, according to Dalgis Dueñas Boggiano, CITMA specialist in the municipality, who lists the conditions for such an award.

“To comply with the physical-chemical-bacteriological conditions of the bathing water in its stretch of beach, correct management of solid waste, the location of baskets to throw waste, environmental management of the area as the ideal location of sunbeds, maintain daily cleaning, preserve coastal vegetation, care of the dune, and the placement of signs with messages urging environmental education”.

The also Master insisted that the proposal of Playa Ambiental is only for the coastal segment located in front of the Memories Trinidad del Mar hotel so far the area of the coastline with the requirements that are demanded.

That is why the General Manager of the hotel, Raúl García Baltasar toured different areas of the environment accompanied by Leonel Díaz Camero, CITMA delegate in the province, the representative of the agency in the municipality Dalgis Dueñas Boggiano and the rector of the José Martí Pérez University, Edelvy Bravo Amarante.

If the Memories Trinidad del Mar Hotel is granted the Environmental Beach Award, it would be the first hotel in the tourist destination of Trinidad de Cuba with this distinction.
