Melocactus in danger of disappearing takes root in Lomas de Fomento

For science and especially for lovers of flora and its exceptions, the good news could not be better.

The Melocactus Curvispinus (also known as Melocactus guitarti) is consolidating its presence in the Lomas de Fomento Managed Floristic Reserve, managed by the company Flora y Fauna.

Omán Pérez Mora, conservation technician of the entity, refers to favorable indicators of recovery and health of the colonies of Melocactus Curvispinus, when analyzing the most recent monitoring of the cactus.
