Inauguration of a Modern room in Sancti Spíritus Pediatric Hospital

The Respiratory Service of the José Martí Pérez Provincial Pediatric Hospital, in Sancti Spíritus, inaugurated on Tuesday a modern cubicle for the care of children from ZERO to THREE months old diagnosed with bronchiolitis and other airway disorders.
According to Redelio Rendón Fernández, head of the provincial pediatrics group, this new space improves the quality of medical care and favors the scientific activity of the hospital.
He explained that the cubicle has a capacity for SIX beds, is lined with ceramic tiles and has an artificial air conditioning system that favors the elimination of infections that cause swelling and accumulation of mucus.
Respiratory diseases are among those that bring more cases each year to the intensive care unit of the pediatric hospital of Sancti Spíritus, hence the importance of this new cubicle for the care of children from ZERO to THREE months.
