Electricians to the east provinces

A contingent of 70 electrical workers from Sancti Spíritus departed for eastern Cuba to work on the recovery efforts following the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa.

The brigade, composed mostly of young linemen with experience in such situations, joins other brigades from western Cuba, which are also forming a large convoy from Sancti Spíritus to provide assistance in the affected provinces.

Men, equipment, and resources comprise this large force, whose work will be essential to restoring the electrical networks and systems damaged by Melissa as quickly as possible.
