Caguanes National Park workers intensify efforts to protect biodiversity

The main lines of work currently being defined by the workers at Caguanes National Park in Yaguajay are the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems and developing programs that further engage communities in issues related to soil protection.

This was stated on local radio by the head of the Park’s Conservation and Management Department, Amarilis Castro Castillo, who added that various actions are currently being implemented that effectively contribute to the preservation of species and ecosystems through strategies that strengthen climate resilience, which contributes to human well-being and food security.

In upcoming sessions, work will be intensified with children who participate in interest groups related to the environment, while also encouraging tree planting and garbage collection on beaches and rivers in the municipality.
