Another Olympic medal for Sancti Spíritus
Nathán Rivadeneira Martínez, a student at the Eusebio Olivera Pre-University Vocational Institute of Exact Sciences in Sancti Spíritus, won a silver medal at the recently concluded Central American and Caribbean Chemistry Olympiad held in Panama.
The competition brought together the region’s most outstanding young talents in Panama; the Cuban delegation secured one gold and three silver medals—a result that reflects well on the Cuban education system and the dedication of our professionals.
With this award, the total number of medals won by students from Sancti Spíritus in international events during the current Olympiad cycle—spanning the disciplines of chemistry and mathematics—has reached seven, according to Dunierki Díaz Medina (M.Sc.), director of the local vocational institute.
The Provincial Talent Development Center at the Eusebio Olivera Institute continues to conduct preparation and training sessions for students who are participating in international events during the vacation period
