Support measures for vulnerable individuals in Sancti Spíritus

Initiatives aimed at assisting vulnerable individuals are underway in Sancti Spíritus province, according to details in the latest report presented to the Provincial Government Council.

The document outlines support measures for families and communities with social needs, such as identifying specific cases, establishing community feeding centers, and monitoring social assistance across the province.

It also includes water supply alternatives for Fomento and Trinidad, where distribution via tanker trucks and other means continues in order to meet the needs of vulnerable households.

Care for nursing homes and maternity homes was also among the topics assessed. The report covers the monitoring of nutrition, living conditions, medical care, and the timely admission of high-risk pregnant women.

Additionally, the report highlights actions in rural communities, areas covered by the Turquino Plan, and settlements facing complex social challenges, alongside efforts directed at children, adolescents, young people, and the elderly.
