The banking system in Sancti Spíritus prioritizes agricultural producers

Amid concerns regarding the country’s cash shortage, the banking system in Sancti Spíritus is currently prioritizing cash disbursements and the granting of loans to agricultural producers—a key decision for sustaining farming operations and ensuring timely payment to day laborers.

Ricardo Macías Vila, Deputy Director of Payment Methods for the Popular Savings Bank in the region, explained that these measures support the farming sector by ensuring the liquidity needed to handle each stage of the production process and contribute to food production.
