Father, a long career with high marks for Tavito

On November 28, 2019, Octavio López Ramírez, Tavito, paused his life. He gasped as he felt the warmth of her body disappear in his hands. His racing heart slowly slowed as he gazed into her tiny eyes, fixed intently on his face. Only then did he realize he was becoming a father for the first time.

It seems like only yesterday, according to his memory. But this 39-year-old knows how many joys, headaches, scares, hugs, and sorrows he has shared with his little Cuqui.

Kisses exchanged between them don’t interrupt their conversation. They reveal the deep connection forged by love and the security of knowing they have each other. Since Cuqui started walking a couple of months after her first birthday, Tavito has been caring for her without her biological mother present.
