Women from Sancti Spíritus raise their voices against the blockade

Hundreds of women from various sectors of Sancti Spíritus province gathered at the Monument to the Martyrs in the provincial capital to participate in a revolutionary reaffirmation event as part of the “Women Against the Blockade” campaign.

The rally, which was replicated in all municipalities and nationwide, was presided over by Deivy Pérez Martín, member of the Central Committee and First Secretary of the Party in the province. It paid tribute to Vilma Espín Guillois, the eternal president of the Federation of Cuban Women, on the 96th anniversary of her birth and demanded an end to the blockade imposed by the Donald Trump administration.

One of the key moments of the day was the reading of the declaration of the Federation of Cuban Women by Lianny Pérez Bermúdez, the provincial secretary of the organization.

The declaration, supported by all attendees, rejected the Trump administration’s unilateral coercive measures and reaffirmed the will of Cuban women to continue defending their sovereignty.
