Electric tricycles support the distribution of products from the Sancti Spíritus Meat Company
With the addition this Tuesday of electric tricycles to distribute meat from the regulated family food basket for children aged 0 to 6 and special chronic diets, the Sancti Spíritus Meat Company is implementing a viable alternative to the fuel shortage.
Carlos Oneriz Pérez Sánchez, the company’s commercial director, explains: “This is one of the other options we’re using: acquiring these tricycles, which have a range of almost 100 kilometers. We’re using them to carry out the planned monthly distribution to communities in the nearest municipalities. Currently, we plan to distribute to the municipalities of Cabaiguán, Taguasco, and Jatibonico, and we may also be able to reach La Sierpe, as well as the city of Sancti Spíritus, which is crucial. The municipality of Sancti Spíritus has made a concerted effort to support us with some transportation and a little fuel, and we’ll be able to complete the distribution by the end of the month.”
