General information about Trinidad in Sancti Spíritus, Cuba

Trinidad , Cuba, boasts one of the most beautiful and best-preserved architectural complexes in the Americas. Recognized as the Museum City of the Caribbean Sea , its historic center, along with the Valley of the Sugar Mills, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. With a microclimate distinct from the rest of the island, temperatures range between 16° and 25°C, creating a moderate subtropical climate. It also features breathtaking natural beauty, such as the Topes de Collantes Protected Natural Park.

It also received the title of Creative City , in Crafts and Popular Arts, in October 2019 by Unesco, while it received the title of World Craft City in 2018.

Trinidad is a destination renowned for its natural beauty and well-preserved architecture from Cuba’s golden age, but it is undoubtedly distinguished by its culture, both tangible and intangible. A prime example of this is the vast natural and archaeological reserve of the 19th-century sugar industry, whose production made this city the most prosperous in Cuba.
