Performing arts will honor the 511th anniversary of Sancti Spíritus

A theater event from this Thursday through Sunday is part of the tribute from the Arts to celebrate the Fourth Villa of Cuba’s birthday on June 4th.
According to Yohandri Naranjo, Pachi, president of the Sancti Spiritus Performing Arts Council, although the long-awaited theater event, “René de la Cruz sin Memoria,” was not held, invited groups will be present.
The Cienfuegos puppet show and the Cañabrava group from Cienfuegos will also be present. The event will be the ideal setting for the theater productions “Vacío” (Empty), “Pero habrán signos” (But There Will Be Signs), both directed by José Meneses, and “Corazon Martiano” (Heart of Martiano) and “Un Guajirón Apuros” (A Guajirón in Troubles), both hosted by Pachi himself, to be reviewed by a jury.
The city award for best play will be presented, although we also want to present some awards.
All of the event’s performances will take place at the Teatro Principal.
