Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Sancti Spíritus, the reality of a dream

With the pride of seeing the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Sancti Spiritus become a closed-cycle institution with first-world research and production, Dr. Ada Triguero, founding director of the collective, conceived by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, recalls the evolution of the Center over its 35 years.
As an example of that work, Dr. Triguero cited the generation and production of a wide range of biological reagents for diagnostic and analytical use included among the items used by the Cuban biotechnology industry.
