A legal Norm to Upgrade Sport

For the first time, Cuba will have a law that regulates the sports system, for which in Sancti Spíritus and throughout Cuba the specialized consultation process on the Draft Law of the Cuban Sports System is carried out.
In an unprecedented event in the sports history of Cuba, this initiative not only represents a significant milestone in the sector, but also marks a moment of inclusion and citizen participation, by calling for a specialized popular consultation to enrich the preliminary project.
“It is not an INDER law, it is an organic law of the Cuban sports system, whose fundamental objective is to regulate the basis to strengthen it. This exercise is an expression of the democratic and participatory character that the revolutionary State assigns to the creation of legal norms, which INDER takes to a specialized consultation.
In Sancti Spíritus, Raúl Fornés Valenciano, first vice president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), highlighted the significance and importance of these meetings for the final preparation of the legal document that will govern the country’s sports policy.
