China emphasizes Openness to the Outside World and Facilities for Tourism

China reiterated its commitment to opening abroad after learning that the country registered 13.57 million inbound and outbound trips during the National Day holidays.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, the increase in “Chinese tourism” shows the attractiveness and open attitude of the Asian giant.
“China has achieved full visa exemption with 24 countries, has implemented visa-free entry policies for 16 countries, and has implemented 72 or 144-hour transit visa-free access for 54 countries,” the spokesperson recalled.
As he emphasized, the Asian nation will increasingly open up and the level of entry and exit facilitation will continuously improve.
As part of the comprehensive reform that the country is promoting to achieve national rejuvenation and Chinese-style modernization, Beijing promotes opening to the outside world focused on facilitating exchanges between peoples, visits, business and commerce in general.
On the other hand, the Asian giant celebrated the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and National Day on October 1.
From that date on, the Chinese enjoyed a week of vacation that boosted domestic consumption and tourism.
In fact, China recorded 765 million domestic trips during the holidays, a year-on-year growth of 5.9 percent and an increase of 10.2 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
On the other hand, domestic tourists spent 700.817 million yuan (approximately 98 billion US dollars), which was 6.3 percent more than in 2022 and 7.9 percent more than before the pandemic.
